I really don't like short stories - not to read, not to write, so I haven't written many! In fact, I haven't written any at all for at least three years (as of 2005) and can't forsee another for at least three years. So this list just might be it ...

  • "Of Fingers and Foreskins", published in Eidolon, Issue 21. This has also been published in March 1997 in THE BEST OF AUSTRALIAN SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY 1996, edited by Jonathan Strahan and Jeremy Byrne, published by HarperCollins.
  • "The Evil Within" was published in DREAMING DOWNUNDER, edited by Janeen Webb and Jack Dann and published by HarperCollins in Australia. A truly dark tale, inspired by the medieval concept of evil and the wonderful medieval village of Montaillou. This story was selected as one of the best fantasy stories in the world for 1998 and also appears in THE YEAR'S BEST FANTASY AND HORROR, edited by Ellen Datlow and Terri Windling, published by St Martin's Griffin in New York.
  • In October 2000 I had a story called "The Field of Thorns" published in The Australian Women's Weekly.
  • In early 2001 I had a story called "St Uncumber" published in The Australian Women's Weekly.
  • About 2003 I had a story called "The Mistress of Marwood Hagg" published in a horror/fantasy anthology called ... called ... oh, these details always escape me! (I think the title might feature the word 'bones' but I am not sure!). This is a nasty story about wifely revenge ... and a great deal of excess mud. The original title of the story was "Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust, Mud to Mud."
